Hedychium spicatum (Spiked Ginger Lily, Gandhapalashi)- The rootstalk of this plant is antiseptic in nature and is used traditionally for aches and pain. It also helps moisturize the skin due to its warming property.
Aloe vera (Barbados Aloe, Kumari) - This plant is well known for its skin healing properties . It can be applied to the skin or even injested in juice form. The leaves of the plant are rich in enzymes, polysaccharides and nutrients which are considered to have antibacterial and antifungal action. Aloe vera also helps to naturally inhibit UV rays and helps to hydrate and soften skin.
Alpinia galanga (Greater Galangal, Mahabharivacha) - This herb is also known as Thai or Siamese ginger. This is a skin protectant and prevents damage from UV rays
